Mayor Robert Krupowicz received a title of the Local Government Manager of the Region in 2014. The ranking was organised by Puls Biznesu, a nation-wide specialist daily newspaper on business and economic affairs. The patronage of the ranking has been assumed by the Ministry of Economy.
Candidatures for Local Government Managers of the Region were put forward by local authorities in the region. Some of the criteria included local development rate, efficiency in attracting EU funding, support given to entrepreneurs operating in a municipality and contribution to local communities. In the Westpomeranian Region, awards also went to Piotr Krzystek, the Mayor of Szczecin, and Piotr Jedliński, the Mayor of Koszalin. In other provinces, people awarded included such well-known people as Rafał Dutkiewicz, the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Majchrowski, the Mayor of Kraków, Wojciech Szczurek, the Mayor of Gdynia, and Tadeusz Czajka, the Mayor of Tarnowo Podgórne.
On behalf of Mayor Robert Krupowicz, Paweł Bartoszewski collected a plaque during the official gala held in Warsaw. During the same event, entrepreneurs received awards in the ranking of Pillars of the Polish Economy 2014.
It was the 10th ranking by Puls Biznesu. The ranking did not involve any cost on the part of laureates.
