The Investors and Exporters Assitance Center at the Marshal’s Office
of Westpomeranian Region was recognised as the best in the country.
The Municipality of Goleniów has been cooperating with the IEAC for over ten years now.
The cooperation produced very tangible results, namely investment projects implemented in the GIP, such as Abena, HG Poland, Prime Cargo and Stylepit. Additionally, promotion due to the cooperation with the IEAC is also invaluable. Investment opportunities of the Goleniów Industrial Park are known virtually all over the world.
Every third year, the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency provides
an assessment of regional Investors Assistance Centers as regards the capacity
of their staff to attract foreign investors. The certification process comprises three stages. The first one is the assessment by the Agency regarding cooperation during the implementation of investment projects and updating the database and audit
of investment sites. The second stage involves a certification visit to the IAC.
This stage assesses technical and organizational capacity and the level of services provided to investment projects. The final stage focuses on the presentation
of an investment opportunity and a pitch delivered by a staff member in English. Points are assigned at every stage.
This year, centers from Westpomeranian and Opolskie Region scored the highest
in the ranking. They were followed by centers from provinces of Lubelskie, Lower Silesian and Pomeranian, and third came Podkarpackie and Silesian regions. For over two years, the IEAC from West Pomerania has been headed by Jacek Wójcikowski, previously working for Polish diplomatic posts in Dublin and Copenhagen.
