Strong team for the Bestseller Goleniów Athletics Park 2018

We have already attracted eight renowned athletes for the international light athletics meeting to take place at the Goleniów stadium on 20th June this year. In total, we expect over thirty domestic and foreign athletes to participate
in the event.

Krystian Zalewski (Poland, 2000 m steeplechase) – vice champion of Europe
(Zurich 2014), 9th at World Championships (Beijing 2015), multiple master of Poland in 3000 m steeplechase, participant of Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games (2016).

Michał Rozmys (Poland, 800 m) – 3rd at European Youth Championships in 1500 m (2017), 11th at World Championship in 800 m (2017), Senior Champion of Poland in 800 m (2017), silver medal at Team European Championship (2017).

Joanna Jóźwik (Poland, 800 m) – 3rd at European Championships (Zurich 2014),
5th at Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games (2016), multiple champion of Poland in 800 m run.

Meghan Beesley (Great Britain, 400 m hurdles) – 2nd at World Indoor Championships in 4 x 400 m relay.

Thobias Montler Nilsson (Sweden, long jump) – 3rd at European Youth Championships (2017).

Patrycja Wyciszkiewicz (Poland, 400 m) – European Junior Champion at Rieti Championships, 3rd at MME in Tallinn, 3rd at World Championships in London (2017) 4 x 400 m, 2nd at World Indoor Championships in Birmingham (2018) 4 x 400 m.

Brittany McGowan (Australia, 800 m) – Champion of Australia.

Noelie Yarigo (Benin, 800 m) – reached semi-final of Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games (2016), semi-final of World Championships in London (2017).

Talks are in progress between the Sport and Leisure Centre in Goleniów and further athletes. The full list of athletes for BGAP2018 is to be announced at the end of May.

Bestseller Goleniów Athletics Park 2018 is the first international light athletics event of the series and it is going to be a part of the calendar of events of the European Athletics Association. This one-day event is scheduled on Wednesday 20th June 2018 and it will take place at the stadium at 25 Sportowa Street. The title sponsor
for the event and the sponsor of the amateur run is Bestseller, and sponsors
for particular competitions include: Drobimex (800 m women’s run), LM Wind Power (2000 m men’s hurdles), Multi-Projekt (3000 m women’s hurdles) and sia Abrasives (800 m men’s run). Partners for the event include: Fizjoline, Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone, Rhenus Logistics and Serwach.
