Hundreds of Goleniów citizens visited Technologie Tworzyw Sztucznych
Sp. z o.o. in the Goleniów Industrial Park. The Open Day was held to attract employees and their families. The company also welcomed those who looked for jobs at manufacturing of sea-going yachts.
Last Saturday, everyone could see the process of manufacturing yachts
and motorboats of such makes as Hanse, Dehler, Moody and Fjord. The plant
at 28 Prosta Street in Łozienica welcomed several hundred people. Tomasz Banach, the Deputy Mayor of Goleniów, also visited the plant. Adults could learn about each work station in detail, whereas the young enjoyed their time wandering around
the company with maps searching for pirates treasures hidden in the production hall.
TTS has been in operation for 21 years. During that time the company changed its location to finally develop into a resilient firm based in the Goleniów Industrial Park. At the moment, the company employs seven hundred people which makes TTS one of major employers in the region. According to the company, an employee without experience at manufacturing may earn net PLN 2.2 thousand to grow up to three thousand.
Due to the effort made by TTS the ministry included back the profession of a boat builder in their list. The last time when graduates left their vocational schools
in Poland trained to become boat builders was nearly 40 years ago. Now we stand
a chance of restoring education in that profession. We are ready to provide training for students in our company so they can learn how to build boats considered to be some of the best in the world, said Michał Pokorski, Chairman of Board at TTS.
Now, it is time for schools to recruit students. Graduates of boat building courses may count on employment in our company.
